Bridge Online Sixth Form College: The Perfect Solution for Modern Learners

Bridge Online Sixth Form College offers a flexible, high-quality education designed for students seeking an alternative approach to traditional sixth form settings. Our innovative online platform combines expert teaching, tailored support, and a wide range of post 16 courses, ensuring every student has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their goals. If you need to re-sit your GCSE in maths or English, or if you want to get equivalent qualifications in Level 1 or Level 2 Functional Skills Awards, our sixth form provision is for you.
We understand that sometimes its difficult for students to get the qualifications they need while they are still in school. Our flexible post 16 approach allows students to top up or resit the core subjects, when they are ready to do so. Our live lessons and recorded lessons allow the flexibility some students need to get over that final hurdle and obtain their level 2 qualifications, in order to move onto the next stage in their educational career.
While we focus on the core subjects here at Bridge Online School, our collaboration with the other schools within Cambridge Online Education mean it may be possible to study for a wealth of other subjects in our Sixth Form (see the list below) at a time to suit you. A Level & Vocational Subjects are also available via our partner schools within the Cambridge Online Education group where timetabling allows.

How we teach
Bridge Online School uses an advanced online learning platform and lesson library to provide 24/7 access to subject materials. Classes are carefully timetabled, and lessons are delivered live by qualified UK teachers who are trained in online teaching and learning. For added flexibility and support, all lessons are recorded, ensuring pupils in alternative provision can revisit and review content at any time.
At Bridge Online School, our classes are designed to make learning engaging and interactive! Depending on the subject and the pupil’s age, live lessons are led by experienced teachers in small group tutorials of up to 16 pupils. This dynamic and supportive environment allows students to explore what they’ve learned through independent and group study, hands-on assignments, and regular feedback and assessments to help them grow.
We encourage regular active breaks and schedule the majority of live lessons in the mornings for our primary-aged pupils, allowing them the flexibility to enjoy family and social activity time later in the day.
Our teachers bring each subject to life using online breakout rooms, chats, polls, quizzes, and even virtual simulations. These tools inspire pupils in alternative provision to connect, discuss, and explore ideas together, making every lesson a lively and meaningful experience where learning feels exciting and accessible.
